Our pump motor can reduce the hot tub operating cost to $0.03 per hour (based on the USA national average cost of electricity) while pumping 59 GPM (gallons-per-minute) in filtration cycle. This energy efficient hot tub motor consumes 265 watts on low speed and 3,220 watts on high speed. Our patented motor cooler captures most of the heat generated by the spa motor and transfers it back to the water making your spa as energy efficient as possible. In addition, our patented motor cooler keeps the motor cool by radiating the water temperature to the electric motor.

Using a 5.5kW Heater in the "Caesar" spa, the cost to heat the water by 4°F is $0.44.
Using the motor coolers during 6-hour filtration, we heated 380 gallons of water by 4°F for $0.18.
The spa motor coolers recovered the wasted heat from the spa pump during a 6-hour filtration needed to keep your spa water clean.
We rose the water temperature by 4°F and filtered for 6 hours at a savings of 43% when compared to a 5.5kW electric heater. The electric heater is always needed for fast heat recovery when necessary.
NOTE: The test was conducted indoors with a controlled ambient temperature of 73°F and with a Regal Spa Cover.

When shipped, the motor cooler orientation will match the pump discharge orientation that you specify (up, left, right). The motor cooler's orientation is easily adjusted by simply loosening 4 screws and rotating the motor cooler to the desired orientation to match your spa plumbing.

When shopping for a replacement spa pump, always ask for the original Magnaflow.

  3. The Magnaflow pump passed all Public Safety tests per UL Standard 1081.
  4. The Magnaflow pump is powered by A.O.Smith, Magnetek, Emerson, Marathon Electric, Franklin Electric, SNTech, Regal Beloit or Century motors and not by inferior quality motors. Even though motor manufacturers may have different physical motor configurations (for example, capacitors and terminals in different locations), all motors are made per our pump performance specifications. Acura Spa pumps are produced and shipped per our model numbers with any of these motor brands.
  5. The Magnaflow series has powered hundreds of thousands of spas of different brands throughout the world since its introduction in 1994.

 

NOTES:
Pump Horsepower:
(cd) Horsepower is the continuous duty output power of the motor or the pump load to the motor.
(spl) Horsepower is used by the hot tub industry (for marketing reasons??).
(bd) Horspower is the motor's maximum load (exceeding this load will burn out the motor).

Model numbers with suffix (-1) indicates the motor is single speed.

Model numbers with no suffix indicate discharge straight up.
Model numbers with suffix (-3) indicates the discharge is to the right.
Model numbers with suffix (-4) indicates the discharge is to the left.

No O.E.M. dealers or distributor discounts with limited offer prices.

All pumps are not provided with unions, unions sold separately. Unions are identified by plumbing dimensions (like 1.5" or 2.0"), but these numbers ARE NOT the physical outer pipe dimensions. These numbers indicate the waterflow volume going into and out of the pump. Please use part numbers as identified for your application.

All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician.
All plumbing work must meet I.A.P.M.O., UL 1563, and all local codes and regulations and must be performed by a licensed plumbing contractor.
